The Purpose of the Army’s “Blue Book” is to inform Soldiers why we serve, provide historical information, and prescribe standards for appearance and conduct of all Soldiers. All Soldiers will use this Blue Book and its associated regulations to strengthen, enable, and demonstrate the Army Profession through enforced standards and discipline. It is expected that all Soldiers will have a copy of this document on their person when in the duty uniform.
The Purpose TRADOC’s “Green Book” is the guide for all initial entry training Soldiers who join our Army Profession. It provides an introduction to being a Soldier and trusted Army Professional, certified in character, competence, and commitment to the Army. The pamphlet introduces Soldiers to the Army Ethic, Values, Culture of Trust, History, Organizations, and Training. It provides information on pay, leave, Thrift Savings Plans, and organizations that will be available to assist you and your Families. The Soldier’s Blue Book is mandated reading and is maintained and available during Basic Combat Training/One Station Unit Training and Advanced Individual Training.

This book is a “Mini” (half the size of a piece of paper).
A popular size to carry anywhere (briefcase, large pocket, purse) but the print is large enough for easy reading. The binding is with coil, allowing easy flipping of pages without jamming.
The color covers are laminated for weather protection with black and white inside printing.
