ATP 3-90.8 Combined Arms Countermobility – 2021 – BIG size

ATP 3-90.8 Combined Arms Countermobility applies to all members of the profession of arms.  Trainers and educators throughout the Army and Marine Corps will also use this manual.

This publication implements and specifies land mine marking, reporting, and recording requirements according to STANAG 2036.

Mobility and countermobility are subordinate tasks or activities within the movement and maneuver/maneuver warfighting function.  Mobility and countermobility are complementary opposites. Mobility is focused on enhancing friendly-force movement, while countermobility is focused on affecting or countering enemy movement. Mobility and countermobility enable ground maneuver forces to penetrate, disintegrate, and exploit within an area of responsibility (AOR) by creating positions of relative advantage for friendly forces at the tactical and operational levels.
