PR
Multi-Service Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (MTTP) for Personnel Recovery (PR) establishes tactics, techniques, and procedures for recovering isolated personnel using conventional joint capabilities at the tactical level. It is organized based upon the following five PR execution tasks of the Department of Defense (DOD) PR system.
- The report task consists of actions required to provide notification that personnel are, or may have become,
- The locate task involves the effort taken to find and confirm the identity of isolated
- The support task involves providing support to the isolated personnel and the isolated personnel’s next of
- The recover task involves the coordinated actions and efforts of commanders and staffs, recovery forces, and isolated
- The reintegrate task begins when the report notification is received and there is a possibility the recovered person will enter the reintegration
Military commanders prepare, plan for, and execute recovery operations by ensuring individuals are trained to contend with an isolating event, forces are capable of recovering personnel, and their staff can react quickly to the situation (in accordance with standing plans and procedures) to prevent capture, exploitation, or loss of life.
This book is a “Mini” (half the size of a piece of paper).
