Introduction
Effective DIVARTY operations and fire support require leadership, knowledge, and situational understanding. DIVARTY staff members must possess an in depth understanding of the functions associated with the planning, employment, targeting, and execution techniques necessary to ensure fires are available and delivered when and where they are needed. ATP 3-09.90 builds on the collective knowledge and experience gained through recent operations, and numerous exercises.
