ATP 3-01.18 Stinger Team Techniques – 2017 – Mini size

ATP 3-01.18 provides guidance for Stinger team employment techniques supporting air defense operations. Its focus is to build a proficient Stinger team enabling them to accomplish their assigned missions. The effectiveness of Stinger varies directly with the individual skills of each team member and their collective proficiency. This manual provides the non-prescriptive ways or methods used by the Stinger team to engage and destroy hostile air threats.

ATP 3-01.18 contains five chapters and a supporting appendix that includes employment, detection, identification, and engagement techniques. The chapters are:

• Chapter 1 discusses the role of Stinger teams, employment guidelines, and mission It introduces the operator to the different considerations of Stinger engagements during combined arms employment.
• Chapter 2 discusses Stinger team employment and operational techniques.
• Chapter 3 discusses Stinger team communications.
• Chapter 4 discusses Stinger team engagement operations.
• Chapter 5 discusses Stinger missile firing procedures.
• Appendix A discusses aircraft detection and identification

This book is a “Mini” (half the size of a piece of paper).

A popular size to carry anywhere (briefcase, large pocket, purse) but the print is large enough for easy reading.  The binding is with coil, allowing easy flipping of pages without jamming.

The color covers are laminated for weather protection with black and white inside printing.
