1. This Technical Manual (TM), authenticated for Marine Corps use and effective upon receipt, provides information on the Rifle, 62 mm, AK-47, NSN: 1005-LL-MUS-2940; TM 8370-50007-IN/2.

 

 

INTRODUCTION

 

1. This manual contains operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting procedures for the rifle, 62 mm, AK-47. It is divided into five chapters.

 

CONTENTS OF THIS MANUAL

 

1. A Table of Contents, located in the front of this manual, lists all chapters and work packages in the If you cannot find what you are looking for in the Table of Contents, refer to the alphabetical Index at the back of the manual.

 

2. Chapter 1, General Information, Equipment Description and Data, and Principles of Operation, provides general information about the equipment, identifies the major components and systems, and describes how the components and systems

 

3. Chapter 2, Troubleshooting, provides symptoms and procedures pertaining to failures that could occur during operation of the AK-47.

 

4. Chapter 3, Organizational Maintenance, which includes Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), and General Maintenance Instructions, provide procedures to maintain the AK-47 at the organizational

 

5. Chapter 4, Auxiliary Equipment, which includes information on the equipment used with the AK-47

 

6. Chapter 5, Supporting Information, provides information pertaining to references, components listing, and an expendable and durable items

 

 

This book is a “Mini” (half the size of a piece of paper).

A popular size to carry anywhere (briefcase, large pocket, purse) but the print is large enough for easy reading.  The binding is with coil, allowing easy flipping of pages without jamming.

The color covers are laminated for weather protection with black and white inside printing.
